Make ahead of time

You can make the sauce a few days ahead of time and pour over your favorite meatballs.

Cook the meatballs in the sauce in the oven or on the stovetop. The sauce is enough for 5 pounds of meat. An easy short cut is to buy premade meat balls and simmer in the sauce.
